Summer is Gone

When summer is over the little Ana Humming birds leaves. They are the green ones with a red throat. Only the little brown year rounders stays. These are very tiny and look the size of a small cotton ball. No more sitting outside and listening to them fight or watching them as I wash dishes. No more being ordered to fill their feeder when it is empty. Taking a break from fighting. Fighting is what they love to do this all day long. I think sword fighting is their hobby. All too hyper. But, you would be hyper too if all you ate was sugar and all day long. They are out fighting, when it is barely light in the morning and the last to go to bed at night. Fun little birds to watch.

They are very territorial. No one else can drink from their feeder. Hiding to protect the feeder from another humming bird. There is enough food for everyone, but no you can't share. Putting up several feeder still don't help.

Our little brown year around humming bird.

I love watching them, as you can tell.

Look what I found on my Patio

I found this cute little guy on my patio. But he wouldn't pose for me . I wanted a picture of him praying or one of his face. It was getting dark and he didn't like the flashing.

A praying mantis is a harmless little bug and a favorite of many. His favorite food is harmful bugs making him a gardeners friend.

Trip to see Ben and Christine

We just got home from visiting Benny and family. Our 10th grandbaby was blessed. Her name is Lexie Paige Taylor. What a sweet little baby. We had so much fun just spoiling the kids. Logan caught on real quick and wanted grandma to side with him. But I always told him he had to do what his mom and dad wanted him to do.

Watch out Lily grandpa has found another little girl to hold and love.

Grandpa taking Logan for a ride around the mall on the train.

We had such a good time. It was sad to leave because those two little grandkids will be changed next time we see them.
