THE GREAT PUMPKIN UP DATED

The pumpkin has grown since I last posted a picture of it. It is now 60 inches around the middle and 52 inches the other directions. I have no idea how much it weighs. It just keeps growing.

I am back from girls camp. It was fun but lots of work. I think I am too old to help cook another year. Maybe just for a day or two next time. You know you are old when all the adult leaders are the same age as your children and the campers are older that your grandkids and you are the oldest one there.

Home again

We are back home. I took lots of pictures. I am not going to post any. You can check Tim and Aleca's blog and see them and what we did. Just chick on (Tim and Aleca). We had a ball the kids had so much fun with their cousins.

Wisconsin is so pretty and green you want to stay for there for ever. You don't even have to water your lawn and it stays green. Every time I am back there I wonder how the poineers felt leaving there for the Salt Lake Valley. Nothing was growing in the whole Salt Lake Valley it was a salt dessert. No wonder some kept going on to California. But the mormons did made Salt Lake Valley blossom like a rose.

I leave again on Monday. Doug Davider asked me, if I would come and help him cook for girl's camp. I said yes so I will be gone Mon until Friday. Dennis will be home tending his mother and Jake.

THE GREAT PUMPKIN

This was grandpa's pumpkin two weeks ago. Dave has some big ones, too. This is the pumpkin, this morning. It is 41 inches around middle. It seems to get larger every day. Dad doesn't know it, but I am feeding it Miracle Grow once a week. Nothing is on the Zapallo yet.

OFF TO WISCONSIN

I am excited.

We are off to Wisconsin on Sunday. We will be having a family reunion, all our children and their families will be there. I'll take lots of pictures.
Tim lives in Wisconsin and they are hosting it. He has an ammusment park set up in their back yard with all their toys. He tells me it is open 24 hours a day and no age limits either. I think that any one over 65 should not be allowed on anything. All the cousins should have a ball. Breckyn and Zoey
I can't wait to see all the grandkids. They are all special in their own way. Each brings a special joy to me.
Zoey is the one that always reminds me of my Timmy. She does so many things like he did when he was little. Sometimes it is just the way she is standing. The look on her face. I could go on and on. Tim and Aleca don't agree with me, but they didn't know Tim when he was little either.
I am so proud of Tim knowing that he is a good dad and husband . Sometimes I miss him knowing he is no longer my little boy. When he was little I always had this strange feeling that I needed to love him now because some day he would no longer be with me. He no longer is with me. He now belongs to his wife and family, which he should and I want him to. Good job Tim and Zoey.

WHO ME SHARE

The kids spent a few days with us while Melissa and Dave went to Las Vegas for their 10th wedding anniversary. They needed some together time with no kids. Where has all the time gone? But it is 4 kids later.

I'll baby sit for my kids' families: on their 10th anniversay, maybe the 15th, but not sure about the 20th, no for the 25th ( I'll be too old then or dead).

The kids had a wonderful time. Jake shared with them.

Lily ate Jake's food, chewed on his raw hides like they were candy canes, Jake stood under her highchair at meal time and ate. He had never had table food before and it was a treat.
They rested in Jake's bed. But Jake never got to rest in their beds, grandma said no. Jake didn't care when Lily played with his chew toys. She tried them out for chewing, too. The girls used his collars and leashes on their teddy bears.

We bought and ate 2 candylopes. Who can guess what a candylope is???? Phoenix and Poppy loves them and ate the second one, all by their selves.
