June trip to Mexico 2012

Our last trip to Mexico Poppy and Phoenix went with us.  This made things much more exciting.

Phoenix wanted to find a sting ray to step on its tail and then pet it, like Uncle Benny use to.  We didn't find one, so he start to make his own sting ray holes.  wish I had a video of it it was so funny.

 A rock bass that Poppy caught in a tide pool.

 A shark pod that they played with one afternoon.

 We found lots of brittle star fish.  One 21 leg star fish.  Some things that I never got pictures of too.

There something about finding these things in the tide pools that is exciting.  We find many of them every time we go down and it is still exciting the next time.

Eclipse May 2012

No pictures sorry. 
 I just watched the eclipse. I thought it was exciting.   It doesn't matter how many eclipses I have witnessed they are still exciting.  We only saw a huge bit taken out of the sun.  When it got dark my little humming birds started to fill their tummy for the night.   Silly birds.

Mexico again

We were in Mexico last week and of course pictures of the sun rise was in order.  I love getting up in the morning and watching the sun come up.   The grunion were running which is always an extra treat.   

The latest little baby quilt that I made.  The twister is easy and looks very hard.  I love it.

 So as a beginner I could make it with no problem. As I was making it I thought it would look pink so I  bought pink backing.  But it turned out to be green and still got the pink backing. . 

Mexico (spring break 2012)

We went to Mexico last week.

The wind blew the whole week.

Making it the coldest sping break I have ever spent there. Sweat shirts were woren instead of swimming suits.

Our friends Carol and Howard Snow went with us. We played cards and cards. Then we played pegs and jokers. They taught us some new card games, too.

We did the same old thing.

Gather shells.

Shopped in town and bought some Vanilla.

Ate fish taco, we also ate at the Chineseinn. It was good and no one got sick

Watched the sun come up every day..

All in all we had a good time.

The Reason for our trip to Utah

These are the reasons we just made a trip to Utah.
Our four wonderful grand kids.

To see snow in the mountains.
It even snowed on Sunday while we were there.

On the way home we made a Quick trip to Colorado.

To see Catherine's new cat. Isn't he beautiful.

We saw my sister, too.

But forgot to take a picture.

MAKEUP

I am sure that we all have seen little old lady's makeup.

laughed and said I will never be like that.

All crooked. Eye brows that are not shaped the same. Eye shadow that is not even spread around even. And then the bright red lipstick on the skin above the lips and two different shaped lips. Cheeks that are just little round circles. And these women think they look great.

Well, I looked in the mirror the other day and guess what I saw. you guessed it. I am one of those little old Lady's. My lip stick was okay because I hate red lipstick. What do you expect, when you can't see your face with out your reading glasses.

What should I do.? I know I just won't wear any more makeup then it can't be crooked.

Just a Grandma

Sorry Zoey, I don't know how to flip it over.

Here's one of the things that makes being a Grandma worth while. When I recieve a letter or a picture in the mail. It makes my week.
